What is Proposition 497?
According to the official Yavapai County election description, Proposition 497 asks voters whether to increase the Yavapai County Jail District excise (sales) tax by one-quarter cent ($0.0025) per dollar. If approved, the increase would take effect July 1, 2027, and continue for 20 years.
