PRESCOTT, Ariz. — Local animal rescue organization United Animal Friends has announced its upcoming Hike for Hounds Fall Festival 2026, scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 7, in Prescott.
The outdoor fundraising gathering will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the UAF Rescue Ranch, located at 2600 Heckethorn Road, Prescott, AZ 86301. The day’s schedule invites participants to hike a portion of the scenic Peavine Trail starting directly from the UAF Rescue Ranch grounds. Following the walk along the trail, participants will return to the ranch facility to take part in festival activities.
Organizers noted that friendly dogs are welcome to accompany attendees throughout the hike and festival. After finishing the Peavine Trail portion, guests can enjoy a picnic lunch on-site alongside a variety of entertainment options. The event lineup features local vendors, exhibitors, and multiple activities designed to keep attendees entertained throughout the morning and early afternoon.
Admission for the festival is set at an entry fee of $25 per person. That single admission price covers participation in the Peavine Trail hike, the provided picnic lunch, and access to all scheduled ranch activities. Community members planning to attend can register in advance online at https://unitedanimalfriends.org/hike-for-hounds/ or opt to pay admission upon arrival at the gate.
United Animal Friends is also offering promotional incentives tied to registration and contribution levels. Attendees who make a total purchase of $50—which can consist of two entry tickets or a single ticket combined with a donation—will receive one free tote bag. For those with a total purchase of $100 in tickets or a combination of tickets and donations, the organization will provide one free event T-shirt.
Serving Yavapai County, United Animal Friends operates a variety of animal welfare initiatives across the region. In addition to fostering and organizing adoption events for adoptable dogs and cats, the nonprofit coordinates community resources including the Spay and Neuter Certificate Program, the Snip n’ Go Clinic, pet grooming, courtesy listings, and an emergency medical program. Its outreach also encompasses community dog training, a feral Community Cat Program, a Pet Food Bank, a Pet Trust, and the Furr-Tastic Finds Rescue Resale store.
